. South park is really one of the longest-running animated shows in America with a big fan base of fans. The show only entered their thirteenth season, maybe stronger than ever.

1. The show's creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have no anxiety. They are going to attack anybody when they think it will justify a good joke. Sometimes controversial and frequently assaulted by the media and various “offended” personalities, South Park Seasons 1-16 DVD has done the unthinkable. From defaming sacred religious figures, to offending popular stars, the comedy duo believes either everything is acceptable to poke fun at or nothing is.

An example some were appalled at in the media, was when the display was running an episode where Satan is holding a Halloween party in Hell in which people are expected to be wearing costumes. Satan spots someone in what seems to be a Steve Irwin costume using a stingray impaling him. Satan comments in the costume claiming it is “too soon”, to which the man replies that it's not a costume, implying it actually is Steve Irwin in the party in Hell. To which Satan replied he should get leave the party as it is costumes simply. Such a scene appalled many on an almost international scale, but Matt and Trey make no apologies and have stood by their own work.

2. The new ideas. In an industry full of rehashed plots and tiresome sequels, the comedy show has done hundreds upon hundreds of episodes with undeniably original and creative plots. The episode in which McCain and Obama's efforts at election were truly a ruse for an “Ocean's Eleven” design theft, or in which the South Park boys need to sue Lucas and Spielberg for raping Indiana Jones and at the same time within that very episode Cartman was attempting to prevent an imaginary invasion of the Chinese as the “American Liberation Front”. It is difficult to imagine these types of episodes being run by any tv series other than South Park. Yet the “Look Out Indy” episode had earned South Park Seasons 1-16 DVD for sale of it is greatest ratings as the shows' most watched premiere since 1999, despite possibly offending millions at the same time.

he 11th Season started off with a bang with the controversial episode entitled “With Apologies to Jesse Jackson” that was about Randy Marsh striving to find pardon after incorrectly using a racial slur on “Wheel of Fortune.” Meanwhile, Eric Cartman was fighting a midget, whch was far too amusing.

There seems to be a lot of spoofing of famous films or TELEVISION programs about the previous few seasons, lately the huge box office hit movie “300” was spoofed within the South Park episode entitled “D-Yikes,” Where Mr. Garrison fights off some Persian guys who want to buy a lesbian bar called “les bos”. Other prominent Spoofing contain Fox's 24, The Da Vinci Code, Night Of The Living Dead.

So is South Park still funny? Hell yeah, it's just a handheld of animations on TV that is great and has not been a disappointing like Family Guy and The Simpsons. South Park, now in its 11th season, remains the maximum-rated series on Comedy Central.

Someday, the show stands as the sole winner fighting for the right to poke fun at everything in order to supply a huge selection of original comedic episodes which have won them one of the greatest fan bases in video. Matt Stone and Trey Parker can boldly and proudly take responsibility for numerous laughs, and have helped to produce change that stretches past the edges of their own show because they always show up on the news and political talk shows with their fearless messages, giving birth to a brand-new group of people who identify themselves proudly as “South Park Republicans” or more lately “South Park Libertarians”. Matt and Trey have hit a vein with America that goes deeper than simple humor Visit Website.
