. Darn commercial. It had to air right before this show began, so I get to see Aang one last time, looking ever so awesomely twelve and adorable, as he saves the world again before he vanishes to the vacuum of time that waits for us all. Bye, Aang. You are a statue now. Sniffle. See you in the toons they show on the opposite side, little buddy. But enough of the mourning. Tenzen has important things to say. World! (Smash! Boom! Crash!) Fire! (Whoosh! Sizzle! SSSSSSINGE!) Air! (Hey, it really is Aang! He's immortal and part of the opening credits now!) Water (Hi, Korra! Dash! Welcome to the planet!) When Tenzen was a boy, his father, the Avatar Aang, told him about how exactly he ended the Hundred Year War with the assistance of a neurotic, destitute waterbender, a blind earthbender, a very ethically confused firebender, and also a remarkably ordinary man who could not do such a thing but crack jokes and battle like a complete tiger. Next war was finally over, Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko - oh, it feels good to say that about Zuko! - worked together to make The United Republic of Nations. The notion was that benders and non-benders would work together in peace. I betcha Sokka helped write that charter. It is really a shame the vision started to tarnish if the originators expired. Aang and Zuko named their capitol Republic City, and gave it a slogan: "Can perhaps not most of us just get along?" Then Aang died, and he turned into a statue within the harbor. Unfortunately, this needed to occur, or we couldn't meet Legend of Korra Book 2. It is just like the Immortals: there can be just one. Obviously, the story begins in a blizzard. Legend of Korra Season 2 is just a waterbender; thus, she is got to reside in a bare frozen wasteland. I wonder, if we go through enough Avatars, will we ever meet one who grew up in a secure city eating bon bons? A prominent Inuit gentleman greets an envoy of the White Lotus. There's a child in his own house they have just gotta see. As the envoys of the White Lotus enter the nicest igloo I have ever seen, a lady greets them nervously. Apparently, the White Lotus have already been sent on some wild goose chases and usually do not want to be fooled again. Nonetheless these two parents understand their little girl may be the Avatar. She's got no particular ability to begin glowing when mad, but... she can make quite a violent entrance. Boom! Just made a brand new hole in the wall for ya, Mom! I ain't your grandmother's avatar! Deal with it, or I'll set you on fire with these pointless little torches I keep lighting every-where just to frighten everybody. She wouldn't be accepted in a daycare center near you. on The years pass in an instant, and suddenly, we see a teen-aged girl fighting in certain sort of contest, where she is battling several firebenders at the same time and sending them sizzling onto the rooftops, still curiously alive. There are lots of members of the White Lotus watching this gravely, along side a wizened old woman who seems somehow precious and familiar. The shrewd old woman quietly says, "She is strong" but the White Lotus guru says, "She lacks restraint." That could be accurate, White Lotus guy, but she continues to be the Avatar and you also will not fire her from that position. Besides, she actually is sixteen. Who has restraint at the interval of sixteen? After enough pyrotechnics to engulf a major city in fires, Korra succeeds in making her last unlucky adversary pass out, and she celebrates using a war whoop. Korra is feeling rather cocky, because she has mastered three of the four elements: fire, earth, and water. But, the stern-looking gurus are not so sure about Korra. She's got the physical side down, but she has not got a clue about the spiritual side to be the Avatar. Korra agrees with this specific, but thinks that learning Air Bending under Tenzen will solve the spiritual issue [[http://dalailamafilm.com/community/member.php?u=373747|Discover More Here]].
